Objectives:

The aim of this package is to train PhD students with the experimental techniques as well as strengthening the research co-operation between the Centre and foreign partners. The Centre is very well equipped with facilities for semiconductor materials and structures characterisation in particular photovoltaic materials and structures, amorphous materials, and for investigation new optoelectronics devices and systems.

The Faculty of Physics, WUT, has a good experience with training of PhD students in the framework of TEMPUS and SOCRATES/ERASMUS projects. The proposed package will give an opportunity to continuing and growing the bilateral collaboration with the partners of the Centre.

The training program for foreign students in the Centre is under way. We adopt the training program to individual needs of every student taking into account all our research units. In consequence the visiting students can participate in the research activities of all the chosen units of the Centre.

The visits in the foreign laboratories of the young scientist and PhD Students allow to carry out research work in complementary equipment and done complementary projects. Very important for young scientists is the possibility of interchanging the experience and contact with qualified staff in other laboratories as well as to get acknowledged with advanced experimental techniques and to get familiar with the organisation of research in the partner laboratories. Very positive results of the visits that already took place fully confirm our expectations.

Description of the contents, the work plan, the steps, the approach, the methodology:

We plan long visits of students and young scientists from the Centre in the laboratories of foreign partners and long visits of students from European countries in the Centre.
